Marquette, MI – (03/27/20) – The Home Builders Association of Michigan is calling on Governor Gretchen Whitmer to rethink her position that industries like housing construction are not essential.
Sarah Schultz, Executive Officer of the Home Builders Association of the U.P. joined Mark & Walt in the Morning to talk about the issue.
Schultz says home building and construction has come to a standstill around the state following the Governor’s “Stay Home Stay Safe” executive order and saying the work is non-essential.
She said the HBA wants the Governor to rethink that assessment and to consult with federal homeland security officials and her colleagues from around the country in determining whether to continue the shut down of builders and contractors.
