Marquette, MI – (04/09/20) – The UP Regional Blood Center has had a lot of folks come in and donate blood, but there is still a need for certain types, and you can help out. Rachel Heath, Blood Collection Coordinator at the UPRBC, joined Mark & Walt in the Morning today to share the latest update.
Heath said that the Blood Center has hit their needed reserves for positive blood types, but is still a need for O- and A- types of blood. Of course, any and all types of blood are being accepted, but the priority is on gathering the negative types.
She explained that the Marquette Blood Center, at 427 W. College Avenue, is now operating on an appointment-based system due to COVID-19 social distancing guidelines for you to get in and donate.
You can call to schedule a donation appointment at (906) 449-1450.
