MARQUETTE, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – A non-profit organization is encouraging residents to consider hosting an exchange student in their home.
International Experience is an agency that places exchange students from around the world in American homes for the goal of cultural exchange and building lifelon friendships.
Cristina Anderson, Local Coordinator for IE, joined the SUNNY Morning Show with Walt & Mike today to talk about getting local Upper Michigan families to explore hosting an exchange student.
She explained the process of how to become a host family, what the students bring to the arrangement and most importantly, how her life was affected when she and her family decided to host a student a few years ago.
