Assistance Available For Marquette County Veterans During COVID-19 Pandemic

Marquette, MI – (05/22/20) – The Marquette County Department of Veterans Affairs is getting the word out about the Marquette County Soldier Sailor Relief Program. This week on Mark & Walt in the Morning, we heard from Craig Salo, Department Director, and Jim Provost, Marquette County Veterans Affairs Committee Member and Marquette County Veterans Alliance Chair, about the effort and why is it important to our community.

They explained who is eligible for assistance from the program and how to apply and what types of assistance is available. They also talked about how the current COVID-19 crisis has impacted the veteran community within Marquette County and gave some good advice for veterans seeking assistance.
