Marquette, MI – (06/19/20) – This July, WNMU-TV is switching to a new frequency to comply with an FCC-mandated change. Eric Smith, Director of Broadcast & Audio-Visual Services at Northern Michigan University, joined Mark & Walt in the Morning today to talk about the change.
Smith said that if you receive WNMU-TV with an antenna, you will need to re-scan your TV to continue viewing the channel. He added that the re-scanning process is something people will need to do to all of their television sets to locate WNMU-TV and all of the channels in the local area.
Smith said that the change will not impact viewers using cable or satellite TV services, but for those using antennas, the re-scan may also find channels they didn’t know they were missing.
