Americans With Disabilities Act 30th Anniversary Being Marked With Events

Marquette, MIJuly 7, 2020 – SAIL, Disability Network of the U.P. is releasing a series of virtual resources, videos, and information to celebrate the Americans with Disabilities Act, or ADA, 30th anniversary.

Executive Director Sarah Peurakoski joined Mark & Walt in the Morning today to talk about the effort and the actual anniversary, which is on July 26, 2020.

Peurakoski explained that the virtual events are being considers as “birthday gifts” to the community about the ADA, and they will be releasing a video along with panel discussions and other information on their Facebook page, Instagram and website.

The information will be released for around 12 days starting July 13th, all with a focus on the passing of the ADA and other accessible/advocacy topics for those who live with a disability.
