Marquette, MI – July 31, 2020 – 109th District State Representative Sara Cambensy joined Mark & Walt in the Morning today for a legislative update. The Marquette Democrat weighed in on two major issues of the week.
Cambensy addressed the plans to build a space launch site in northern Marquette County by the Michigan Aerospace Manufacturers Association. She talked about her reactions to the announcement and what the project can mean to the area’s economic future. Cambensy said it came as a surprise to many and there is still plenty to learn about the project.
Cambensy also shared her thoughts about the latest COVID-19 Executive Order issued by Governor Gretchen Whitmer that is impacting many small businesses across the Upper Peninsula. She said the latest order was unexpected and is a tough blow to many small businesses in the U.P. that currently need the business from both area residents and tourists.
