MARQUETTE, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News ) – Summertime programs to keep kids interested in learning, a special recognition of community volunteers and an upcoming webinar for non-profit agencies were all on the agenda when Paul Olson from the Great Lakes Center For Youth Development stopped in this morning.
Olson joined the SUNNY Morning Show to promote continued learning for kids going on summer break from school. He explained some easy and quick tips for parents to do to make sure their kids do not experience “brain drain” during the summer break.
He also discussed the upcoming U.P. Service Awards, which pay special recognition to area volunteers, and what the process is to nominate someone for an award.
Also up for discussion was an upcoming webinar this month designed to give non-profit agencies tips on effectively getting their message out through the media.
