Ishpeming Schools Off To A Good Start For The New School Year

Marquette, MISeptember 29, 2020 – Carrie Meyer, Superintendent of the Ishpeming Public Schools, joined Mark & Walt in the Morning today to share a district update.

Meyer said the school year has gotten off to a good start and students are glad to be back in the classrooms.  She credited the resilience and adaptability of the students in making the new pandemic-related systems work.

She also gave an update on the district’s online academy and how improvements have been made to make the online component of today’s teaching environment stronger and smoother for those students in the district who have chosen in-home instruction during the pandemic.

Meyer mentioned the latest goings-on with fall sports and reminded listeners that there are still a few openings in the district’s Hematite preschool program.
