Marquette, MI – November 8, 2019 – Tonight is the always delicious First Nations Food Taster put on by NMU Native American Studies. It’s from 5pm-7pm at Northern’s Jacobetti Center and is not to be missed. As long as my hubby doesn’t get stuck working late, you’ll see us there! Check out the menu which consists of traditional and contemporary Native American dishes:
Bison Stew with Cranberries
Three Sisters casserole
DDP Pumpkin Corn Bread
Minty Wild Rice Salad (no pecans)
Wild Rice (plain)
Sun Butter Cookies
Maple Roasted Pecans
The First Nations Food Taster is a dish bag event! Dish bags consist of unbreakable and reusable dishware that an individual brings to an event. It consists of any item needed for a meal, including a plate, bowl, silverware, drinking container, and napkin. Please help our environment by bringing your own (unbreakable and reusable) dishware and be entered into a raffle to win prizes! You do not need to be present to win, but you must be 18 or older. I love winning stuff and think this is a great idea just in general so have my little bag all packed with my dishes.
Tickets will be $12 at the door, but if you come see me at mediaBrew Communications today until 5, they’re only $5!! I’ve only got a few left so you may want to call 228-6800 to reserve them but even if you buy them online at UPBargains.com and pay with PayPal, the First Nations Food Taster is tonight, so I don’t have time to mail your tickets to you, so you’ll still need to stop and see me today before 5…and then just think we could eat dinner together tonight. To new friendship!
