Blaney Park, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – State Police from Manistique Detachment responded to an accident on M-77 three miles North of US-2 in Blaney Park just after noon Saturday.
Troopers say 71-year-old Pamela Jones of Atlanta, MI was northbound on M-77 at when she was rear ended by a 61-year-old Curtis man driving at a high rate of speed in the same lane.
Both vehicles then went off the road into the ditch.
Prescription drugs were a factor in the accident and Troopers are seeking charges of Operating Under the Influence of Drugs on the unidentified man.
His name is being withheld pending further investigation. Both drivers sustained minor injuries.
