Michigan Tech’s Newest Building Dedication Tomorrow

MARQUETTE, MI – (Great Lake Radio News) – Dedication ceremonies for Michigan Technological University’s newest building are being held tomorrow on campus in Houghton.

Dedication of the three-story, 50,000-square-foot Great Lakes Research Center will begin at 2 p.m. The center has three distinct areas: a boathouse for the University’s three research vessels and environmental monitoring buoy network, a complex of research laboratories, and a public area that includes conference facilities and space for K-12 education.

The public is invited to attend the ceremonies. Speakers include MTU President Glenn Mroz and Guy Meadows, director of Great Lakes initiatives at the center.  Tours of the facility will be held following the dedication.
