MARQUETTE, MI — (Great Lakes Radio News) – The Marquette County Sheriff’s Office is reporting a fatal Off Road Vehicle accident that happened over the weekend in Champion Township.
The accident happened Saturday, Sept. 8, at 5:25 p.m. on the Clear Lake Access Road.
Michael Argall, 51, of Ishpeming was riding a four-wheeler toward Clear Lake and was coming around a curve that went downhill when the ORV went out of control.
The four-wheeler struck a tree on the shoulder of the road. Argall was not wearing a helmet and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Assisting at the scene was Bell Memorial EMS and Michigamme-Spurr Township First Responders. The crash remains under investigation.
