Marquette County Man Sentenced to Two Years in Federal Prison

Marquette County man sentenced to two years in prison

MARQUETTE, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – A Marquette County man has been sentenced to over two years in federal prison for providing a weapon used in a fatal shooting last year in Marquette.

32-year-old Joseph Jaukkuri of Marquette was sentenced yesterday in federal court in Marquette to 27 months behind bars on a charge of knowingly providing a firearm to a convicted felon.  He also faces two years of supervised release following his time in prison.

Judge R. Allen Edgar exceeded the sentencing guidelines in the case because Jaukkuri also provided the ammunition that ended up being used by 23-year-old Tyler John Wolf of Marquette in the shooting death of 49-year-old John Bradbury on September 21st of last year at a Marquette apartment building.

Wolf is currently serving 7 to 15 years in prison on involuntary manslaughter charges.
