Hit-And-Run in Marquette Yesterday

MARQUETTE, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – Marquette City Police are looking for the public’s help in finding a hit–and–run driver who struck a pedestrian yesterday.

The accident happened just before 10 am at the intersection of Presque Isle Avenue and Wright Street.  Police say a southbound pickup truck turned off of Presque Isle onto Wright Street and struck a female pedestrian.

Reports say the driver of the truck was described as a young white male, who apparently stopped briefly at the scene before driving away.  Details of the truck are unknown at this time.

The pedestrian was taken to Marquette General with non–life–threatening injuries. Marquette City Police are asking anyone with more information about the accident or the driver to call them at 228–0400.
