    Person of interest in custody for I-96 shootingsMARQUETTE, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – Downstate authorities now say a person of interest is in custody in the Interstate 96 corridor shooting spree case.

    Michigan State Police and agents from the FBI and ATF armed with a search warrant went through a downstate Wixom home late Monday in search of evidence of the person who is responsible for two dozen shootings in the I-96 corridor in several southern Michigan counties.

    According to reports, one man was taken in for questioning but no suspects have been named.  Investigators reportedly left the home with materials and towed away a dark-colored car.

    Police have mentioned seeking dark-colored or black sedans, including Chevrolet Cavalier, Oldsmobile Alero and Ford Mustang models.

    The multi jurisdictional Task Force looking for the shooter has received over 2,800 tips in the case. A $102,000 reward is being offered for information.
