Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – The Marquette Board of Light and Power has taken the next step in building a new energy center.
At a special meeting last night, the BLP voted to move forward with the plan for the construction of the $65 million project.
The plan has been somewhat controversial as it contains a substantial rate increase for customers.
The proposal now moves on for further consideration and a final vote by the Marquette City Commission.
