Toyota Motors to Pay Out Over a Billion to Customers

    Toyota payouts for customersMARQUETTE, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News)Toyota Motors will pay out over a billion dollars to make several unintended acceleration cases go away.

    The Japanese automaker has filed court papers in California saying it intends to make direct payments to customers and will also install a brake override system in more than three-million vehicles.

    Former owners of Toyota vehicles who were forced to take reduced prices when selling their cars will also be able to secure a portion of the $250million dollars. There will be another $250 million available for Toyota owners whose vehicles aren’t eligible for the coming brake override system.

    There’s no word when the payouts will begin.
