A winter storm advisory continues into today in a portion of southern Lower Michigan, including southwest Michigan, Mid-Michigan and the Detroit area.

The National Weather Service says four-to-eight-inches of snow from the storm hit some regions from Detroit to Port Huron yesterday.  The snow cancelled or delayed hundreds of flights in and out of Metro Airport yesterday and considerably slowed the evening traffic commute.

Michigan State Police say they had around 100 reports of crashes between 3 and 7 p.m. in the metro Detroit area and several communities, including Birmingham and Dearborn who declared a snow emergency.
