Two Ironwood Residents Arrested on Meth Lab Fire Charges

    Fire from Meth lab in IronwoodMARQUETTE, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News)Two Ironwood residents have been arrested and charged in connection with the New Year’s Eve fire in the city.

    Preliminary investigation identified the fire was caused by an active Meth Lab on the second floor of the residence at 131 S. Mansfield Street. Investigators say the components used to manufacture meth are hazardous and combustible, and carelessness during the manufacturing process resulted in an explosion that caused the fire.

    Authorities executed two search warrants within the City of Ironwood and both individuals were charged with 20 year Felonies resulting from manufacturing meth. Additional charges are being sought and names will be released pending arraignment.
