Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – Two people were injured in a three-vehicle crash this morning in Marquette County’s Richmond Township.

Authorities say a minivan, driven by 53-year-old William Belmore of Ishpeming, was southbound on M-35 near Goose Lake around 7:00 a.m. when he began to pass a semi truck on a marked uphill curve.

The Belmore vehicle collided with an oncoming pickup driven by 54-year-old James Klumb of Marquette and then hit another oncoming pickup driven by 45-year-old Lance Yunk of Palmer.

Belmore was taken to UP Health System-Marquette while Yunk sought his own treatment.

Klumb was not injured in the crash.

All drivers were wearing seatbelts, and Belmore was ticketed for Reckless Driving.
