Marquette County Man Arraigned on Felony Drug Charges

    Marquette man arrested on drug charges has hearing dateMARQUETTE, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News)A Marquette County man was arraigned yesterday on felony drug charges in Marquette County District Court.

    31-year-old Todd Raymond Mills of Ishpeming was charged with two counts of controlled substance-operating a methamphetamine lab, which is a 20-year felony.

    Mills was arrested Sunday evening in Ishpeming.  He had been considered armed and dangerous and was the focus of an aggressive search over the weekend in Marquette County. Mills had threatened to commit suicide by cop and hurt people who had hurt him.

    According to police, Mills had recently been released after 10 years in prison for a violent crime. Further details of his arrest are expected later today. Reports say Mills is registered by the Michigan State Police as a sex offender under the name Todd Raymond Wentworth.

    He is currently lodged in the Marquette County Jail on a $100,000 cash bond.  A preliminary hearing in the case is set for January 25.
