Ishpeming Township, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – Excessive speed and black ice are being blamed for a single-vehicle rollover accident last night in Ishpeming Township.

Marquette County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the accident around 11:00 p.m. on Deer Lake Road.

Deputies say a northbound 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix, driven by 35-year-old Christopher Sgouris of Ishpeming, went out of control on a patch of black ice, spun out, hit the ditch and rolled over.

The accident happened just north of Northbridge Lane.

Sgouris was the only person in the vehicle and was not injured. He was ticketed for driving too fast for conditions.
