Gwinn Man Sentenced For Firearm Possession

    Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – A Marquette County man previously charged with a felony has been sentenced to prison for possessing a firearm.

    42-year-old Kevin Houle of Gwinn was sentenced in federal court in Marquette to seven years in prison and three years of supervised release following the prison term.

    Houle plead guilty in August to being a felon in possession of a firearm in connection with an investigation into the discharge of a firearm during a domestic dispute in March of this year.

    Houle led police on a high speed car chase through a residential area and then abandoned his car and fled on foot.

    He was later taken into custody and admitted that he had taken a rifle and shot several holes in the windshield of his vehicle after arguing with his wife.

    Houle had previously been convicted of felony drug and robbery charges in New Hampshire.
