Iron Mountain, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – State Police at the Iron Mountain Post say one person was arrested after a car chase yesterday across state lines.
Reports say the chase began yesterday afternoon when Troopers attempted to stop a vehicle for speeding on US-2 in Iron County’s Crystal Falls Township.
The vehicle did not stop and State Police gave pursuit. Iron County Sheriff’s Deputies and Iron River Police joined the chase as well.
Authorities ended the chase when the suspect vehicle crossed into Wisconsin.
The vehicle was later stopped by the Forest County, WI Sheriff’s Department and the driver was arrested on Wisconsin state charges and jailed.
Michigan State Police are seeking charges via the Iron County Prosecutor, and the driver’s name is being withheld pending arraignment.
