Great Lakes Radio NewsMARQUETTE, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News)Some in Michigan have viewed Governor Rick Snyder as a moderate or centrist, but a new poll seems to say otherwise.

The survey, conducted by Lansing-based Denno Research for Lambert, Edwards and Associates, shows 53 percent saying the Governor either leans right or is on the hard right politically. And only 15 percent view the Governor as a centrist. Ten percent say he leans left and 22 percent were undecided.

Forty-five percent have an unfavorable opinion, 38 percent had a favorable one and 17 percent were not sure. Only 40 percent of GOP voters had a favorable opinion of Snyder, remarkably only two percent more than Democrats (38%).

The telephone survey of 600 likely voters this past Saturday and Sunday has a 4-percent margin of error.
