Marquette, MI – August 22, 2015 – This Saturday, Todd Paz, host of The 8th Day, brought in President and CEO of the National Ski Hall of Fame, Tom West! During the interview they discussed a chance to personally witness history up close!
The National Ski Hall of Fame is having the ‘2015 Hall of Fame Enshrinement Ceremony’ on September 18th and 19th. On Friday, September 18th, the building is hosting the Hall of Fame Open Enshrinement Induction Event, which will later be televised on national TV. There is no charge to attend this portion of the ‘Hall of Fame Weekend’. During the induction you can meet the athletes personally and really get to know them as they take the ultimate step into creating history.
Saturday morning, the 19th of September, the Ishpeming Kiwanis Club is hosting a ‘Welcome Breakfast’ for the athletes and anyone who would like to attend at St. John’s Catholic Church. Following the breakfast, the Coy Hill Golf Outing will be starting around noon at the Wawonowin Golf Club, running until about 4:30 PM on Saturday. You can get your game on and enjoy some Saturday afternoon golf by paying $40.00 per player. All of the money made this weekend will be going used as funding for the world’s largest Ski Hall of Fame.
Wrapping up this fun filled weekend there will be a closing banquet at the Red Rock Banquet Hall with great food for $40.00 a person. For $80.00 you can get tickets too all the events for the entire weekend, meet some phenomenal athletes and support a local national museum.
Come on out and welcome the class of 2014 Hall of Fame Inductees as they become official Hall of Famers! The athletes present will include big mountain skier Chris Davenport, slalom skier Kristina Koznick, world prfoessional ski racing championship winner Eric Schlopy, first US Olympic gold mentalist in snowboarding, Ross Powers, and speed record holder for 15 years, Ralph Miller.
