Marquette Township, MI –  December 7, 2015  –  Santa Claus is coming to Marquette Township tomorrow night to throw the big switch on the Christmas Tree during the annual Catch the Christmas Spirit Tree Lighting Ceremony.

Bring your entire family to the Westwood Mall and get into the Christmas spirit with this fun-filled family event. The Redmen Chorale take the big stage at 6 pm for a Christmas carol singalong! Santa will arrive on the township fire truck and will throw the switch onstage to light the township Christmas tree and officially kick off the Marquette Township Christmas! Marquette Township resident Jim O’Dovero donated this year’s beautiful, 33 foot tall tree.

After caroling, make sure you go inside the Westwood Mall for FREE coffee courtesy of Biggby Coffee, FREE popcorn from Honor Credit Union, and FREE cookies from Super One Foods in Marquette! Santa will be available for pictures until 8 pm.

Keep an eye out for the Grinch tomorrow – he’s been spotted right here in the township slinking around some of the businesses! Township officials alerted the Sheriff right away, so deputies will be on hand tomorrow night in case the Grinch tries to steal Christmas from the township!

Don’t miss your chance to visit with Santa and maybe even see the Grinch! Come to the Westwood Mall on Tuesday, December 8 at 6 pm and Catch the Christmas Spirit with Marquette Township.
