Marquette, Michigan’s Farmers Market at The Marquette Commons building a great summer downtown diversion

1723

Marquette, Mich. – Marquette has had may different versions of Farmers Markets through the years, but the one downtown at The Marquette Commons building has taken off like no other in recent memory.

Local growers, vendors and artists begin setting up by dawn every Saturday for the weekly market which runs from 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM through the bulk of the summer.

The produce, baked goods and other items are all locally grown and prepared, most from all natural ingredients; and patrons can shop several areas for U.P. made jewelry, wood products and much more.

Almost every week the Marquette Farmers Market invites members of the local music scene to entertain the crowd, many of the groups and individuals are young up-and-comers on the Marquette music list of who’s who.

The Marquette Farmers Market also promotes the other Farmers Markets in Marquette County such as Negaunee, Skandia, Munising and others.

It’s a great diversion on a beuatiful U.P. Saturday in Marquette.
