Another Stunning Day At Pictured Rocks

834

Munising – As you’ve been reading, Dawn and I really enjoy golfing various courses around The U.P.

We’ve thought about joining a course, but then we’d lose the ability to spread it around because we’d stay on the course that’s “home.”

Actually was a Birdie hole for me and a Par for Dawn!

Saturday we ventured to Pictured Rocks just east of Munising, and it was absolutely wonderful!!  (I’m glad we had heard they were open)

We were able to jump right on as it was oddly very quiet for a beautiful day – Sunny and around 73 degrees is in my golf wheel-house!!

Played better than I’ve played up until this point, and the course is in phenomenal shape!

Two Sand Hill Cranes were the only Gallery on Saturday

The rough was just long enough that you could find your ball if you missed; but not so short that you had an easy shot.  The Greens rolled well and the Tee Boxes were more like carpet than grass!

Love the back 9 as it’s carved out of the woods in Alger County!

Rediscover this place if you get the chance!!!  It’s quiet, challenging and affordable!!
